A Winter Wonderland

Frozen is a 2013 American CGI-animated musical fantasy film, created and produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. The film is set in the kingdom of Arendelle, following the story of two royal sisters, Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Anna (Kristen Bell).

The oldest daughter, Elsa, was born with the power to create and control ice and snow. After accidently seriously injuring Anna one night, Elsa’s parents decided to keep her confined until she can control her powers.

Later in life, the newly crowned Queen Elsa unleashes her icy powers once again, unintentionally trapping Arendelle in an eternal winter. Horrified, Elsa flees to the mountain to shield herself away from society; Anna teams up with the lovable snowman Olaf (Joshua Ilan Gad), a peasant called Kristoff (Jonathon Groff), and a reindeer named Sven in the hope of finding her sister.

Frozen was the highest-grossing movie in 2013, with various awards and nominations to its name and ubiquitous fan fervour. It is now commonly recognised as a modern Disney classic.
