A Gallery Of Collectibles

The sister company of Diamond Comics Distributors (DCD), Diamond Select Toys (DST) was established in 1999. Predominantly, the Hunt Valley–headquartered business focuses on the manufacturing of high-quality collectibles modelled after various popular franchises (films, TV series, video games, and comic books): Transformers, Ghostbusters, Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Star Wars, Star Trek, Indiana Jones, Halo, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, 24, The Muppets, Back To The Future, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Battlestar Galactica, and more.

Their line-up of products (which targets both kids and adults) comprises the likes of action figures, mini-figures, plushies, busts, statues, prop replicas, electronic vehicles, and vinyl banks. These are designed by a talented team of 2-D and 3-D artists, many of whom originate from different corners of the globe.

In 2002, DST started their Marvel Select line, a collection of seven-inch action figures inspired by the fan-favorite comic books (predominantly Ultimate Marvel and Marvel Knights). Packaged inside boxes decorated with character artwork, these products came with detailed bases and accessories. Over time, the Select line has expanded to include other licenses, such as Universal Monsters, The Munsters, Alice: Madness Returns, and Star Trek. This branding now acts as an indicator of the scale and contents of the product.

In addition to fully articulated figures, DST also offer their Gallery label, a selection of products that encompasses PVC statues. Traditionally, these feature simple bases and are displayable on any shelf or desk, their height measuring approximately nine inches.
