Arriving With A Bang

The Big Bang Theory is a comedy television series that was created by Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady, and Steven Molaro. The show premiered in 2007 and has since broadcasted over 270 episodes. Originally, the show centered around five characters living in Pasadena, California: Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons), Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg), and Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar).

Leonard, Sheldon, Howard, and Raj are incredibly intelligent scientists who all work at a university. Each character has a similar background, but their personalities are polar opposites to one another. Naturally, this makes the show’s dynamic hilarious.

Penny may not boast the IQ level of her friends, but she is a very lovable and comical character nonetheless. Later in the show, we are introduced to two more main characters: Amy Fowler (Mayim Bialik) and Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz (Melissa Rauch). Bernadette dates Howard, and Amy dates Sheldon.
