Great Steelbook for one of the Definitive 1980s animated features.
I'll have to admit -- I bought this steelbook because it was sold out at the only place that carried it in the US, Best Buy. Best Buy has a HORRIBLE habit of listing steelbooks but having the most popular titles sell out BEFORE they hit store shelves! They also fail to list these titles many times and allow you to buy BEFORE the sellouts. It's crummy but remember Sony and Microsoft allow the same thing for their next-gen consoles. You can't buy them in stores because scalpers intercept the orders!!!!! Thankfully, Zavvi had a UK listing for Who Framed Roger Rabbit steelbook which is IDENTICAL to the US Best Buy release. I think literally the only difference is the cardboard wrap with the "15" rating. I love the artwork on this... Much classier than the regular, mass-market 4K release. It's minimalist but sexy and to the point. The color choices are excellent and the characters look on-model. It is one of THE BEST steelbook art pieces of the last year. I think the only other 2 steelbooks I've bought that come close in art are The Last Action Hero (which I also bought from Zavvi) and the Total Recall 4K LE steelbook (in-store Best Buy purchase). Roger Rabbit is definitely the best-looking steelbook release I've bought from Disney.
