It's been a couple of years since the last San Diego Comic-Con and today, it's finally making a grand return.

This year's SDCC features a series of star-studded panels, which will give us exciting insights into the biggest upcoming movies and TV shows, from Marvel blockbusters to epic fantasy series - with a few surprise announcements along the way.

It all kicks off today (July 21) and runs until Sunday, so we've put together our guide to the things you need to be on the lookout for this weekend.

San Diego Comic-Con

This year's event won't be livestreamed, but don't worry if you can't make it to the San Diego Convention Centre - many of the biggest trailers and reveals will be making their way online shortly afterwards.

Thursday

Paramount Pictures

The big event on Thursday is the panel for Dungeons And Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, which will give us our first look at the upcoming live action reboot of the Hasbro series. This takes place 12pm - 1pm (all times in PT).

The movie stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Regé-Jean Page, and Hugh Grant, and will be released on 3rd March 2023.

Also check out the 40 year celebration of Masters Of The Universe hosted by Kevin Smith (3pm - 4pm), a panel for AppleTV+'s Emmy nominated sci-fi series Severance (3:30pm - 4:30pm), and for Star Trek fans, Shatner on Shatner (4:30pm - 5:30pm).

Friday

Prime Video

The big event on Friday is our return to Middle Earth, with a panel dedicated to Prime Video's highly anticipated prequel series Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power taking place at 10:30am - 12pm.

We've already had a series of trailers, but this panel will dive into how the show plans to connect to Tolkien's beloved saga, with plenty of exciting new reveals expected.

There's also a Marvel Studios animation panel, which will likely give us updates on season two of What If... and hopefully the X-Men Animated Series reboot (11:45am - 1:15pm).

Following that will likely be the last ever panel for The Walking Dead (1:30pm - 2:30pm), which should tease the show's highly anticipated grand finale.

Saturday

Marvel Studios

Now this is the big day. By far the main event on Saturday is the Marvel Studios presentation which takes place between 5pm and 6pm. In 2019, they announced plenty of massive new films (has it really been three years since Fantastic Four was revealed?) and this year we expect to see a ton of footage from their upcoming slate.

Expect the first teaser for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, some first looks at Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania and Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3, as well as plenty more surprises (could we finally get X-Men?!?).

Warner Bros. Pictures

Marvel's presentation caps off an impressive day. At 10am, Warner Bros. are presenting their slate, which will include new looks at Black Adam, Shazam: Fury Of The Gods, and much more (although don't expect anything new about The Flash).

At 11:30am we go back to Westeros for the House Of The Dragon panel and at 12:45pm we have a bumper 90 minute Star Trek panel.

And as an extra treat for Hasbro fans: during SDCC you can expect to see a fantastic range of product launches on Zavvi, with action figures, replicas, and more from Star Wars, Marvel, Power Rangers, Transformers, Dungeons And Dragons.

Stay tuned to our website to see the exclusive launches.
