The Fun Company

An American-based company founded by Mike and Claudia Becker, Funko manufacturers collectibles inspired by pop culture. The brand was envisioned as a way to capture nostalgia, the business’s first product being a coin bank based on the mascot of the Big Boy Restaurant. Unfortunately, this initial venture failed, but the company was saved by a licensing deal for Austin Powers bobbleheads. They continued creating character-inspired bobbleheads until Brian Marotti took control and expanded its product lines. One outcome of this expansion was the world-famous Pop! Vinyl, which has become synonymous with the brand and generated millions of dollars in income.

Today, Funko boasts an extensive selection of product types, including vinyl figures (Dorbz, 5 Star, Vynl., Mystery Minis, Rock Candy, and Paka Paka), plushies (Mopeez), apparel, games (Funkoverse), home décor, NFTs, and accessories (keychains).
