The Path Of The Righteous Man

Directed by Quentin Tarantino, the American crime film Pulp Fiction was released in theaters in 1994. The movie features a star-studded cast — comprising actors Bruce Willis, John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Samuel L. Jackson, Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, and others — and is regarded as one of the best films helmed by the award-winning director, who is also responsible for projects such as Reservoir Dogs (1992) and Kill Bill (2003).

A story told nonchronologically (split into seven distinct sequences), the plot follows three principal protagonists: Jules Winnfield (Jackson), Vincent Vega (Travolta), and Butch Coolidge (Willis).

Jules and Vincent are two gangsters who work for Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames), and they are sent to recover a stolen briefcase. During the process, they miraculously survive being gunned down by an associate of the thief, an event that causes Jules to question his life of crime. He sees their escape from certain death as a sign from God and announces that he will retire; however, “Pumpkin” (Roth) and “Honey Bunny” (Amanda Plummer) have other plans.

Following these events (though this is presented in parallel), the aging boxer Butch betrays Marsellus after accepting a bribe to purposefully lose a fight, betting all the money on himself and killing his opponent in the ring. He goes on the run with his girlfriend, Fabienne (Maria de Medeiros), and finds himself starring down the wrath of the most dangerous crime boss in town.
