Restore The Heart Of Te Fiti

Directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, Moana (2016) is an animated film by Walt Disney Pictures. The story follows its eponymous character (Auliʻi Cravalho), a young girl who is the daughter of a chieftain called Tui (Temuera Morrison). She dreams of leaving her island and exploring the oceans, but Tui strongly objects, wanting her to stay and one day lead the Motunui people. Nevertheless, when Gramma Tala (Rachel House) gives her the heart of Te Fiti — a goddess who created all life — and says that she must save her people, Moana takes a sailboat and leaves with a stowaway rooster known as Heihei (Alan Tudyk).

Initially, she searches for the demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson), the one who originally stole Te Fiti’s heart, an act that led to the beginning of the life-ending curse brought about by a volcanic demon: Te Kā. Though he is reluctant, he eventually agrees to help return the heart so that he can redeem himself. However, he first needs his hook, which is protected by the coconut crab Tamatoa (Jemaine Clement) in the Realm Of Monsters. Despite all of his efforts, Maui discovers that he cannot yet control his ability to shapeshift, and he must learn to do so while voyaging with his new companion.

Like many Disney films before it, Moana became a massive hit among audiences. Critics praised its memorable songs, such as the catchy “How Far I’ll Go”, as well as the masterful animation style.
