Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Clothing

Wear the colours of your favourite pizza-eating reptile with Zavvi US’s wide range of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles clothing. These officially licensed products — T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, and jackets — capture the personalities of the franchise’s eponymous characters: Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo.

Half-Shell Heroes

Originally, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) franchise existed as a series of comic books created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. After finding an audience, the characters were licensed to Playmates Toys, and they subsequently began development on a line of action figures. Promotion for the products was helped by an animated TV adaptation, which gained a massive following and was aired for almost a decade.

Throughout most iterations of TMNT, the core concept has remained the same. Four chemically enhanced turtles named after famous Italian artists are trained in the ways of ninjutsu by their adoptive father, a mutant rat called Splinter. Using their skills, the brothers defend the streets of New York City from all manner of threats, the likes of which include Bebop and Rocksteady, Lord Dregg, Krang, and Shredder.

The turtles have also appeared in film, one of the most recent examples being a live-action reboot of the same name. Starring Johnny Knoxville (Leonardo), Jeremy Howard (Donatello), Alan Ritchson (Raphael), and Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), this first instalment places the Foot Clan — led by Shredder (Tohoru Masamune) — in the role of primary antagonists to our heroes. A local reporter by the name of April O’Neil (Megan Fox) is investigating the group’s criminal activities, and while doing so, she discovers the existence of the city’s underground vigilantes. Though the turtles are trying to remain covert, Splinter (Tony Shalhoub) eventually invites her to their sewer home, and they form a close relationship.
