The World’s Greatest Landmarks

The Architecture line was created in partnership with Adam Reed Tucker, a former student of architecture at Kansas State University in 1996. Combining his love of art and design, Tucker founded Brickstructures, Inc. and started creating scale models of famous landmarks. His efforts caught the attention of LEGO, who released some of his models under the new theme.

This line of products eventually branched out to other structures, aiming to “celebrate the past, present, and future of architecture through the LEGO Brick”. Each set includes a premium booklet, which contains build instructions as well as information and pictures relating to the landmark itself.

2009 marked the release of the first two “series” of LEGO Architecture sets. The “Landmark Series” included models of the Sears Tower (21000), John Hancock Center (21001), the Empire State Building (21002), and the Seattle Space Needle (21003). The “Architect Series” comprised the Guggenheim Museum (21004) and Fallingwater (21005).

In the years following, the company released a great many models: the White House (21006), New York’s Rockefeller Center (21007), Farnsworth House (21009), the Burj Khalifa (21008), the Willis Tower (21000), the Robie House (21010), the Brandenburg Gate (21011), the Sydney Opera House (21012), Big Ben (21013), Namdaemun/Sungnyemun Gate (21016), the Villa Savoye (21014), the Leaning Tower Of Pisa (21015), United Nations Headquarters (21018), and more.
