'When there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth.'
With the U.S. in the grip of a zombie apocalypse, four desperate survivors find refuge in a shopping mall. But the flesh-eating hordes, still possessed by an instinctive desire to consume, are drawn to the same destination. What follows is a nail-biting fight for survival.
George A Romero's Dawn of the Dead remains one of the greatest horror films ever made, often imitated but never equalled, and is now presented in a brand new restoration.

As a long time fan of this zombie movie as a standalone and sequel to Night of the Living Dead, I am thrilled to see a deluxe 4K set finally out! I have owned as I am sure most of you, the 2007 Anchor Bay blu-ray set. That only had 1 disc and some pretty good features, but not all of them. I cannot wait to see all of this on the 4K Sony 55" TV and the Sony 4K player. I would also highly recommend you all get the Criterion Edition of Night of the Living Dead. It is without a doubt, the best blu-ray set that has ever been produced for that movie. Loads of extras that have never been released to anything prior and the image is absolutely stunning and crystal clear.
Love the artwork love the packaging all 3 cuts are awesome Best thing I've bought all year
The Movie, presentation of the film, and contents of this Edition are amazing. The way that this was packaged, and shipped are not. I received my copy in a large box that could easily fit 5 more copies of this movie, with just 1 layer of bubble wrap around it. Also, when I opened it, it appeared that the folding case for the CDs was heavily warn with wear-marks going horizontally, like it was dragged on the floor in the manufacturing warehouse. Again, the film itself is amazing and the way that they've preserved this film with the stellar scans of the camera negatives (of the Theatrical), and the Interpositive scans of the Cannes and Zombi cuts, the fact that all the versions are all in one package, etc. are amazing. The way it was packaged and then shipped to me were not so stellar.
Let me say first off, thank goodness I didn't order the original bare bones DVD off Amazon!!! I was in the market looking to add this film to my collection. I read online about this new 4k release of all 3 cuts of the film and pre-order A.S.A.P!!! The product description is 100% spot on, what you see is what you get. Everything is top quality. This collection is everything you could ask for and more! This is easily one of my most prized blurays and I will proudly display this collection on top of my collection shelf. Thank you for this wonderful collection!
I was excited to know about the new 4K release of Dawn of the Dead back in early 2020. I didn't have a copy in my collection and it was hard to find a one through a second hand store without paying a hefty price. I placed an order and it did take awhile to be shipped. But once it came, I was blown away. There are so many extras included in the boxset, the artwork is awesome, and the 4K transfer is good. It's funny to see how low budget this movie is now that its in impressive 4K. A good example of where the HDR shines is once all the characters are in the mall because of the colors of the different stores. I'm glad the film grain was kept in and the soundtrack/mixing is killer. Absolutely recommend this boxset to everyone.
The three films offered are amazing and the quality and clarity of the movies are beyond what I thought could be done. The set includes books and the script, along with the rarely seen extended Cannes version which has extra dialogue and action.
The only thing that could have made this boxed set any better would be if it came with a bag of hard candies (free).
I love Dawn of the Dead since I saw it as a kid back in the late 90s; and this most recent 4K transfer is sublime! For all 3 cuts of the film actually! This is my first time I've ever had the opportunity to see the Cannes and Argento cut of the film and I really got a kick out of watching them for the first time and spotting the many differences and similarities between them. But this collection is perfect! I feel like I have so much Dawn content now that for once my craving for human flesh has been satiated. The books of essays is really informative to read and I love having the complete Goblin and De Wolf Library tracks including The Gonk. R.I.P George Romero; Injust hope that wherever you are now you know your zombie films continue to delight and entertain to this day.
Finally a beautiful 4K cut of this Romero Masterpiece!!!! The only fault in this product is that the region locks on it, you can work around it but the description of region playability is a bit confusing. All and all it's a must for all Romero Fans
I am in love with the quality of the movies.......as well as the packaging it is in!
