An astonishingly creative work of high fantasy, J.R.R. Tolkien's 1954 epic recounts the Fellowship of the Ring's perilous journey to end Sauron's quest for world domination. Sculpted by Dr Graeme Anthony, the collection is officially licensed by Middle-earth Enterprises, a division of the Saul Zaentz Company.
The Chess Set
The battle for Middle-earth begins. Aragorn and Galadriel lead a band of Ents, Wizards and Hobbits against Sauron and Shelob's horde of Saruman, Gollum, Dragons and Orcs. Cast in pewter, with copper plating to distinguish the opposing armies, play takes place on a chessboard made of Merbau wood, nyatoh ply with walnut veneer, and pewter marquetry.
