I first saw this, at the time, unique movie over 50 years ago as a youngster - it scared the living crap out of me and stuck with me lo' these many years - bits of it have even entered my dreams at times to continue to remind me of its existence - since then I have been looking for a copy of it,for probably 10 yr's, mainly on You Tube or some other 'free' viewing site, but it was only available from the U.K., a bad copy, over-priced, etc. - finally I found it re-conditioned and on Bu-Ray - it did not disappoint except that I'm a bit jaded now and it, like the old Wolf man, Frankenstein, Dracula movies, is not quite as scary as when we first saw them when we were young - the end of this flick is still the best and when you consider it was the first of its kind, you gain an appreciation for how well it was done and how it influenced later movies - it will always be in my top 10 for horror movies - I appreciate a good, bloodless ghost story, told well, that can even show up in your dreams years later - the current, over-the-top blood letting, gore fest with huge satanic overtones that is put forth now a days becomes too much and seems rather useless, simplistic and easily done - give me a movie that makes you think so your brain helps create the scare
