This is one of the best Steelbook collections out there in the movie retail market. I was fortunate enough to get both this one and the Hobbit one, undented upon arrival. Some that did preorder it and receive it got it dinged up. Mine was protected inside the box of each with padding. It was a small box, just big enough for the collection. Upon inspection of this Trilogy set, I saw no dings or dents, scratches. Everything was in place and there were no loose discs. This is ONLY the 4K set. There are NO Blu-rays or DVDs in these. Those were all previously released via the Extended version sets, thus, if you own those, you may want to keep them to have the Appendices/bonus features. Each movie has its own Steelbook, colorfully done. The 4K discs are all colored accordingly to each movie. I love the steelbooks and how they are housed individually inside the padded container housing all of them. The movies themselves are just stunning now. The sound is Dolby Atmos 7.1 and it is the way it should be! You really have to watch The Deslolation of Smaug to really appreciate it all. The gold really pops out at you in all its shiny color. The details are incredible. To really enjoy all of these, you should have a good 4K player and a good 4K TV with HDR. I have Sony on both with a Soundbar. Well done! Highly recommended if you can get a hold of one of these, they are special. The digital codes for all movies are housed in the first Steelbook.

I am a big 4K collector and this Steelbook set is by far the nicest set I have. It’s gorgeous.

You know you want it and I recommend you get it. I'm not sure what the UK Version means. I watched the 2 Towers extended version from this set yesterday and did not spot anything different from what I had seen from other collections of this film. Please tell me know if you know. Now why should you add this to your collection? Simple. It has a great unique case and the 4K disc cases are excellent and the 4Kdisc give an excellent sight and sound.

This box set is actual perfection, beautifully put together and a reasonable price. I was nervous having a box set like this shipped from the UK to Canada but Zavvi did a great job packaging it and it arrived in mint condition. Thank you!

I’m in the US and purchased this LOTR steel-book from Zavvi since it’s unavailable stateside. This company is the real deal folks. They packed this steel-book beautifully. There isn’t a dent or blemish. The packaged shipped around 48 hours after purchase and arrived in approximately 10 days. If you’ve had reservations about ordering from this company, put them aside. They’re the real deal, folks. Side note, these steel-books are gorgeous.
