This is supposed to be traditional? Ariel never wears a dress like that in all 3 movies (no, the cartoon doesn't count, for obvious reasons) It looks a tiny bit like the first dress she puts on after becoming human, but its very slight. Why don't they show her in the white, black and blue dress (and her adorable hair bow) that she wears at least half the movie. I had one of the original Barbie/Disney Princess dolls, and she was wearing the right outfit (and removable tail), and it was beautiful and I loved it until my mother took away all my dolls, saying I was too old for them (I was 10). I really hope dollmakers will stop putting characters in random "pretty" dresses/outfits that have nothing to do with them. If they start making og, accurate dolls with the correct clothes again, I'd start collecting them again
