Do The Truffle Shuffle

Directed by Richard Donner, The Goonies (1985) is a comedy film based on a story by Steven Spielberg, who is known for his work on films such as E.T. and Indiana Jones. The story follows the eponymous “Goonies” — Mikey Walsh (Sean Astin), Lawrence “Chunk” Cohen (Jeff Cohen), Richard “Data” Wang (Jonathan Ke Huy Quan), Clarke “Mouth” Devereaux (Corey Feldman), and Brandon “Brand” Walsh (Josh Brolin) — as they search for the lost treasure of One-Eyed Willy, an infamous pirate.

Living in a residential area on the Goon Docks, this group of friends organize a final get-together while they prepare for their homes to be foreclosed. In Mikey’s attic, they find an old map that seemingly provides a trail to the location of One-Eyed Willy’s hoard. The coordinates lead them to an abandoned coast-side restaurant, which happens to be the hideout of the Fratellis, a family of notorious criminals. Chuck is abducted shortly thereafter and locked away alongside Sloth (John Matuszak), who was born with prominent deformities. Despite being the youngest member of the Fratelli clan, Sloth grows fond of Chunk and helps him to escape.

Having learned about One-Eyed Willy’s vast fortune, the Fratellis pursue the kids. However, Chunk and his new ally are close behind. They save the Goonies from the nefarious Fratellis and a cave in caused by a booby trap. Most of the treasure was lost, but Mikey manages to retain enough so as to prevent the foreclosure.
