The Skywalker saga may have come to its dramatic conclusion at the end of 2019, but there’s still life in the Star Wars story as The Mandalorian has clearly proven.This eight-part epic created by Disney is the first television series they’ve produced since getting their hands on the franchise and it’s well… fantastic.
Set in the outer reaches of the galaxy five years on from the events of Return of the Jedu and 25 before the rise of the First Order, it transports us to a real interesting period of Star Wars history.
Despite not containing any Jedi’s, Sith’s or lightsaber battles, this feels like proper Star Wars with its retro vibe, enthralling worlds and a whole host of new characters that breath even more new life into the universe that we all know and love.
Following the adventures of a Mandalorian bounty hunter (Din Djarin), we go on to meet the likes of Greef Carga, Cara, IG-11, Moff Gideon and of course, The Child (Baby Yoda) along with several others.
Upon picking up the precious bounty that is The Child, the hunter grows close to his little companion. But this doesn't go down well with the Guild and the Imperial Officers who demanded his capture, with him breaking the code to protect Baby Yoda.
