The way classic Bond should be.
I was hesitant at first to order this set because of the cost. I was very underwhelmed by the artwork on the standard set that I needed to buy this one. The advantage of this over the US Amazon exclusive is the included Bluray for each movie instead of digital codes. For me as a collector I like that option because now I can free up space on my shelves and get rid of the older Connery set. I also heard complaints about the artwork on the steels. I actually love it, it has a retro 60s style having the photos instead of movie posters. It gives the set a very deluxe feel in my opinion. The case is heavy duty and each steel is protected. They shipped it with great care it was in at least 3 boxes to keep it from having any damage. The movies look spectacular, it makes me feel like I’m watching the best possible quality of each of these films. I wonder if they look better than original presentations in 60s theaters. If you are a Bond collector and enthusiast this is a great set to invent in. I know it was only for Connery but it would have been great to include O.H.M.S.S so if a steelbook gets released in same style it’s not just sitting there alone. I know there are also rights issues but having Never Say Never Again in 4K would have been a great bonus to be complete, I know it’s technically not cannon, it still would have been great to have. Now I’m hoping we get similar sets for Moore, Dalton and Brosnan. So they all will look nice on the shelf. I highly recommend this set if you have a chance to buy it do it.
