Zavvi Exclusive Steelbook with deboss finish. This product is limited to 4000 copies.

Released in 1995 to huge critical acclaim, director Terry Gilliam's (Brazil, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus) bleak vision of a virus-ravaged future and the mind bending effects of time-travel in Twelve Monkeys is considered one of the director's finest efforts.

Bruce Willis (The Fifth Element, The Sixth Sense) plays James Cole, a convict in the year 2035. A highly lethal and contagious virus has all but wiped out the human population, and so Cole is made to go back to 1996 to try to counter the genesis of the virus, and collect a sample before it is released in order to help synthesise a cure. However, the inaccurate nature of the time travel mechanism leads to Cole being sent to 1990 instead, where he is arrested and placed in a mental institute. Inside he meets Dr. Kathryn Railly (played by Madeleine Stowe), a psychiatrist, and Jeffrey Goines (Brad Pitt, Fight Club), another patient and the son of a famous virologist...
