Marvel Universe by Byrne is excellent!
I grew up in the 1980s reading Marvel Comics for the most part. The writer-artist of that era who was most consistent in his storytelling was John Byrne. He along with Chris Claremont created the definitive 3-year run of the X-Men (1978-1981) and after they went their separate, Byrne went on to craft perhaps the most significant run on Fantastic Four (roughly 1981-1986) after the 100+ issues of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. This book presents runs with Byrne art in various Marvel titles, the most significant being issues of Avengers, Captain America (a VERY good run produced with writer Roger Stern), and the last title Byrne worked on before leaving Marvel to revamp DC's Superman, The Incredible Hulk. There are many issues in this omnibus I've read (I've got the Captain America trade for the Stern/Byrne run) as well as comics I've NEVER laid eyes on that were published before I started collecting (1983). For the price Zavvi offered, this is an excellent trade to get your hands on! Right now, Zavvi is sold out. If the book comes up for a good price (MSRP or less), I would recommend getting it -- especially if you're a Byrne fan. He's one of the definitive writer-artists of the 1980s.
