Milan Records is excited to announce the vinyl release of THE WITCHER: SEASON 2 (SOUNDTRACK FROM THE NETFLIX ORIGINAL SERIES), an album of music from the second season of Netflix’s epic fantasy series by composer JOSEPH TRAPANESE. The soundtrack consists of 24 score tracks by Trapanese as well as three additional vocal tracks performed by actor Joey Batey, who plays the role of Jaskier in the show and is the voice behind Season 1’s chart-topping, viral hit song “Toss A Coin To Your Witcher.”
The soundtrack follows the massive success of the Season One Soundtrack, which has amassed nearly 300 million global album streams since its release and charted in rock and pop charts in most major markets. Based on the best-selling fantasy series of books, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Starring Henry Cavill, Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra, it is the story of the intertwined destinies of three individuals in a vast world of humans, elves, witchers, dwarves, and monsters. The first series was Netflix’s second most popular TV show of all time, and was the largest Netflix series launch ever. The second series has seen similar success – though only released on December 17th, it is already on the list of Netflix’s Top Ten most viewed TV shows and has a 94% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Composer Joseph Trapanese is best known for his sleek score work for blockbuster films like Tron: Legacy, Straight Outta Compton, The Greatest Showman, Oblivion and the Raid series.
