March Ör Die

Formed in 1975, Motörhead is a British rock band that reinvigorated the heavy-metal scene during the ‘70s and ‘80s. Throughout the group’s existence, there were many different members: Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister (lead vocals and bass), Phil "Wizzö" Campbell (backing vocals and guitars), Mikkey Dee (drums), Larry Wallis (backing vocals and guitars), Lucas Fox (drums), Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor (drums), "Fast" Eddie Clarke (backing vocals and guitars), Brian “Robbo” Robertson (backing vocals and guitars), Michael "Würzel" Burston (backing vocals and guitars), and Pete Gill (drums).

The band’s signature style is said to draw from punk rock, channelling that same energy to push speed metal and thrash metal into the mainstream. Despite often being referred to as a heavy-metal group, Lemmy always refuted this categorization, feeling greater kinship with punk bands than the likes of Black Sabbath and Judas Priest.

After the passing of Lemmy in 2015, the band was formally disbanded. However, their powerful legacy continues to influence the world of music to this day, and fans frequently revisit their many albums: Motörhead (1977), Overkill (1979), Bomber (1979), On Parole (1979), Ace Of Spades (1980), Iron Fist (1982), Another Perfect Day (1983), Orgasmatron (1986), Rock ‘N’ Roll (1987), 1916 (1991), and March Ör Die (1992) — among others. In total, they have sold more than 15 million albums worldwide, a fact that firmly cements them as part of the greatest bands of all time.
