Princess Leia Merchandise

Celebrate the legacy of the sci-fi genre’s greatest heroine with Zavvi US’s wide range of Princess Leia merchandise. Inspired by the characters appearances throughout the Star Wars franchise, these officially licensed products — including action figures, statues and clothing — pay homage to her best moments.

Hero Of The Rebellion

Princess Leia Organa, a character portrayed by actor Carrie Fisher, first appeared in the preliminary film of the Skywalker saga, Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977). Working alongside the Rebel Alliance to combat the might of the tyrannical Galactic Empire, she finds herself pursued by Darth Vader (David Prowse / James Earl Jones), who wants to reclaim the plans to a deadly superweapon known as the Death Star. So that he will not succeed, Leia hides the plans inside the astromech droid R2-D2 (Kenny Baker) and sends both him and a fellow droid, C-3PO (Anthony Daniels), to the surface of a nearby planet, Tatooine. There they relay a message that she recorded, its contents pleading for the assistance of the former Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness). Fortunately, the aging hermit agrees to help, enlisting the support of local moisture farmer Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).

The mysterious circumstances of Leia’s birth, discussed throughout the events of the original trilogy, are further explored in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge Of The Sith (2005), which recounts the fall of Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), her biological father. Haunted by visions of his wife’s forecasted death, the emotional Jedi Knight seeks a solution from the dark side of the Force and pledges his allegiance to Darth Sidious (Ian McDiarmid). However, he is corrupted by power, turning against the very person whom he swore to save. His actions bring about the outcome that he so feared, and his new-born children — Leia and Luke — are hidden from his knowledge. Leia is sent to Alderaan, where she is raised by Bail Organa (Jimmy Smits), whereas Luke finds his home on Tatooine, supervised by his aunt (Bonnie Piesse) and uncle (Joel Edgerton).

Years after the prequels, the sequel trilogy sees the return of the princess of Alderaan. Older and wiser, she is depicted as the founder of the Resistance, a military force assembled to face the First Order, which rose to fill the vacancy of the dismantled Empire. Her son, Ben Solo / Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), is one of the leading figures in this enemy group.
