Wonder Woman T-shirts

Dress like an Amazonian warrior with Zavvi US’s wide range of officially licensed Wonder Woman T-shirts. Capturing the symbolism of Princess Diana Of Themyscira, these high-quality products have been sculpted from the minds of our in-house team, who have drawn inspiration from the character’s many appearances in comic books and other media.

Princess Of Themyscira

Diana Prince / Wonder Woman — first published in All Star Comics #8 (1941) — is a superhero who exists in the DC Universe, her creators being William Moulton Marston (writer) and Harry G. Peter (artist). Traditionally, the source material depicts the character as having been made of clay and given life by Zeus, the Greek mythological god. This narrative, however, has been altered in modern comics, wherein Diana is the offspring of the Olympian and Hippolyta, the queen of the Amazons.

For the early parts of her life, Diana lived on the island of Themyscira, being raised by some of the fiercest warriors to roam the Earth, such as Antiope and Menalippe. But everything changed when she encountered the pilot Steve Trevor, who crashed his plane onto the shores of Paradise Island (another name for the Amazons’ homeland). One of the inhabitants would need to return the trespasser to his people, and a competition was held to determine which among them was worthy of the responsibility. Though Diana was forbidden from entering, she defied her mother’s wishes and won under the guise of a mask. Unable to deny her daughter’s capabilities, Hippolyta reluctantly allowed the young princess to travel to Man’s World, gifting a special uniform in recognition of her new role: Wonder Woman.

In DC Comics continuity, Diana is recognised as one of the world’s greatest heroes. She frequently stands alongside Batman (Bruce Wayne) and Superman (Clark Kent / Kal-El) as a member of the Trinity, and her allegiances also lie with the Justice League.
